Flying star calculation of some house or property also, called natal chart, X ray, can be done differently and in several different ways. These calculations depict the auspicious or inauspicious influence during some cycle or periods.

About 5000 yrs ago, tortoise was found on the bank of Lo River. On the back of the tortoise found the legendry pattern, which is in the lo shu grid. This is a numeric pattern, which is the base of feng shui flying star. The lo shu grid is of 3X3 square i.e. 9 squares or palaces. Each sq is having some number and this has hidden meaning. It depicts not only number but direction, element, color etc. When we add up the three columns horizontally, vertically or diagonally, the total comes to be 15.
Flying stars are located according to Mathematic formula in lo shu grid. Position of stars in lo shu grid influences positive and negative energy of life. 4. Repeat the above step two to three times with different distance.

How to calculate flying star of a building depends upon these two steps:
1. Determine the age of building or in which period the building was built. We are currently living in the lower cycle of 180 years and period of 20 years is 8 and the years are from 2004-2023. Here is the chart of Period, Cycle and years.

2. Calculate the Facing and Sitting Stars using 24 Mountains. Upper right number in the center palace is always be Facing Star or Water Star and this is called Wealth Star and upper left number in the center palace is called the Sitting Star or Mountain Star also called Health Star. Following chart shows that the house was build in Period 8, in lower middle Cycle.

Above are the four pictures. # 1 describes the nature of flying stars which have their residing position in the year of 2012. Picture # 2 shows the flying stars position.
